The seals your tile no longer have their original lustre, making the whole room luck dull and lack lustre, blackened in some places. Approved Trader is here to help you restore them to their former glory and give them a positive aesthetic makeover that will last year on year. Here are some simple methods that we will help you keep your tiles in top condition.
To maintain the tile in your home and clean the tile joints effectively, different solutions exist.
Generally, a toothbrush will be needed to apply the product correctly and rubbing. You decide which technique is most effective on your joints.
WHITE VINEGAR AND DISHWASHING LIQUID
You can make a mixture of white vinegar and dishwashing liquid applied with a toothbrush.
Put toothpaste on a toothbrush and rub the joints. Then let dry and rinse with clear water.
Remove the toilet gel bleach used to clean your toilet bowl on the joints, rub and let sit. Then rinse thoroughly with water. Make sure that the cleaner is tile friendly and does not strip away the tiles colour.
BAKING SODA AND LEMON JUICE
The baking soda , also called sodium bicarbonate can make an excellent seal cleaner. To do this, mix baking soda with lemon juice and apply on a damp sponge or a toothbrush and rub the joints. You will then just need to rinse with water.
Warning: Hydrochloric acid is a highly volatile and toxic acid: therefore, you should ensure the room is well ventilated before being used. Remember to protect yourself from contact with the acid. You will need to dilute hydrochloric acid with water (always pour acid into water and not vice versa) and apply the mixture on the tile joints. Leave it on and scrub with a toothbrush or a stiff bristle brush.
Any or all of these methods will help you freshen up your tiled surface.
